You can’t plan it. That’s exactly why it counts.
Two people, the same thought, the same minute. Penso only calls it a sync if you both tapped within 60 seconds of each other — not the same evening, not “around the same time”. Sixty seconds. Then that instant stays on both phones, and neither of you did anything to arrange it.
Most days it won’t happen. Penso is young and small, and a sync needs two ordinary lives to overlap for a minute — so it’s a gift, not the feature you’re downloading. What you’re downloading is the tap.

Is it really free?
Yes. No subscription, no ads, nothing to unlock. Penso is one gesture — there’s nothing to sell you inside it.
Does the other person need the app?
Yes — a thought has to land somewhere. You can invite them in two taps, and your thought waits for them until they arrive.
What happens to my contacts?
Your phone numbers never leave your phone. On your device each one becomes an irreversible code — a SHA-256 hash — and only that code travels and gets compared. We can’t see your address book.
Can I write a message?
No — and that’s the whole point. No blank page, no pressure to be interesting. If you want, you can attach one tender word picked from a list of eight: good morning, thinking of you, I miss you, a hug… You choose it, you never type it.
How often does a sync happen?
Rarely. It depends on how many people you have on Penso and how often you both reach for it — some weeks there are none, and that’s the app working normally, not failing. The everyday part of Penso is the thought you send, not the one that happens to collide with someone else’s.
